The Latest Tidbits September 25, 2000...

Last fall we signed a distribution deal with Canada's newest entertainment group. At the time they were called Oasis Entertainment and were part of Song Corporation. Since then all of the divisions of Song Corp have been renamed to show their involvement. Therefore, we are now distributed by Song Entertainment Distribution. So far they have done an outstanding job for us.

Not to be out done this year... we have signed yet another distribution deal - this time with Pinnacle Records, the oldest and largest independent record distributor in the UK. This deal covers the distribution of ragged pup records in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Pinnacle is part of the worldwide Zomba Group and represents artists like Ian Anderson (remember him?), Bjork, Britney Spears, The Back Street Boys, 'Nsync and Tom Jones just to name a few.

The release of "Horses and Hills" marked the first album on the ragged pup label for singer/songwriter Allen Dobb. Some remember him as the writer of the theme (Quicksand) for the CTV series "Taking The Falls" staring Cynthia Dale.

With Sonya Marie's CD "One Kiss Closer To Heaven" we are able to present the best in country swing the way it is meant to be played. Produced by Tony Quarrington who produced the Juno Award Winning "Heartstrings" recently for Willie P Bennett, this album is a real heart warmer.

Yes... it has been a great year so far - and we are expecting more in the new year... including visits to Australia by Bill Bourne, David Gogo and Doug Cox... keep watching here for details...
